| Entry qualification | The certificate of Completed Secondary Education is required. Compulsory entrance exam. The entry qualification documents are accepted in English (except for documents issued in Ukraine upon completion of studies at local educational institutions) . In most cases you can request a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original. You must take the original & legalized (according to the international agreements) entry qualification documents along with you when you finally enter the university. |

Entrance Exam Description
The tests are expected to ensure entrant’s base level in language and certain disciplines is up to national standards.
Exams are taken online. I order to validate the entrant’s person, exams taken remotely are recorded on video, as is the person verification process. The recording is archived for at least five years on Academy’s grounds and the link to that recording is available in the united base of Ministry of Education of Ukraine.
Program Structure
Year 1 — University & field foundations
Academic Studies; History & Culture of Ukraine; Philosophy; Ukrainian & Foreign Language for Professional Use; Political Science; Media Psychology; Academic Writing; Basics of Scientific Research. Professional entry courses: Introduction to Journalism and Theory & History of Social Communications (first semester emphasis).
Year 2 — Core journalistic theory, law & methods
Theory of Journalism; Theory of Mass Communication/Information; Practical Stylistics; Methods of Journalistic Creativity; Communication Technologies; Media Law & Media Ethics. Typical electives begin: Extreme Journalism, Media Security, Sociology of Journalism/Mass Communications, Investigative Journalism, International Journalism, Infographics, Kreolized Texts, Communicative Logic, etc.
Year 3 — Platforms & newsroom production
Genre practice and newsroom work (editorial/publishing concepts, media management), plus Internet journalism and studio labs: Practicum in Television Production; Practicum in Radio Production; Announcer/Presenter Mastery (TV/Radio).
Year 4 — Cross-media, visual & professional practice
Advanced craft: Cross-media Publications; Visual Media Content; Data Journalism; Multiplatform Journalistic Genres (practicum); Press-Secretary Activity (practicum); Modern Ukrainian & Foreign Medialinguistics; Business Planning; Entrepreneurship; Working with a modern newsroom CMS. Final stage: industrial practice, pre-diploma practice, qualification project (bachelor’s thesis & defense).
