Entrance Exam Description
Enrollment is available year-round, with programs beginning on fixed start dates.
Admission to the Preparatory Course does not require an entrance examination. Enrollment is carried out on the basis of submitted educational documents (Completed Secondary Education Certificate) and a valid international passport.
Program Structure
Module 1 — Ukrainian Sounds & Script
- Cyrillic alphabet, handwriting & typing; pronunciation, stress, intonation
- Reading rules, letter–sound drills, minimal pairs
Module 2 — Everyday Communication
- Meet & greet, personal info, family, study, city navigation, shopping & services
- Dialogues for dorms, campus, transport, café & clinic situations
Module 3 — Core Grammar Made Simple
- Nouns/adjectives (gender, number), basic cases (Nominative, Accusative, Locative)
- Present/past/future tenses; verb aspects; questions & negation; numbers & time
Module 4 — Academic & Campus Ukrainian
- Classroom phrases, timetables, assignments, emails to teachers, library use
- University forms, basic rules/policies vocabulary
Module 5 — Ukrainian for Your Major (track electives)
- Engineering/IT: devices, lab safety, measurements, schedules
- Business/Economics: company, markets, meetings, documents
- Architecture/Design: materials, space, studio critique, project basics
Module 6 — Culture & Living Skills
- Culture, customs, holidays; intercultural communication
- City orientation (maps, addresses), healthcare & basic admin vocabulary
- Workshop — Speaking Club & Pronunciation Clinic
- Weekly fluency sessions with tutors/peers; role-plays & micro-presentations
