Bogomolets National Medical University Expands Cooperation with Global Dental Industry Leader Ivoclar

Bogomolets National Medical University (NMU) hosted an official meeting between the University administration and representatives of Ivoclar Vivadent AG (Principality of Liechtenstein) and Ivoclar Vivadent Ukraine LLC, during which a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed. The agreement is aimed at advancing dental education, scientific research, and the practical training of future dental professionals.

Welcoming the guests, Professor Yurii Kuchyn, Rector of NMU, presented the University’s potential as one of the leading institutions of medical education in Ukraine and Europe. He highlighted the University’s highly qualified academic staff, modern infrastructure, extensive clinical facilities, and long-standing traditions in the education of medical and dental professionals.

Special attention was given to the development of dental education, including a presentation of the advanced capabilities of the NMU Dental Medical Center, which integrates clinical practice, education, and research. The Center serves as an important platform for the implementation of innovative dental technologies and practice-oriented training.

The signed Memorandum provides for the implementation of joint educational initiatives, practical workshops using modern Ivoclar dental materials for senior dental students, dental interns, and participants in continuing professional development programs. The cooperation will also include the organization of student dentistry competitions and the participation of NMU representatives in educational programs and training courses at the Ivoclar Academy in Vienna, Austria.

The partnership is further focused on promoting scientific research, introducing modern educational technologies, and enhancing the quality of dental education in accordance with international standards. Particular emphasis is placed on engaging students and young researchers in the international academic environment, thereby facilitating the integration of Ukrainian dental education into the European Higher Education and Research Area.

The meeting was attended by Yurii Kuchyn, Rector of Bogomolets NMU; Oleksandr Naumenko, First Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Postgraduate Education; Oleksandr Kaniura, Vice-Rector for Academic and Clinical Affairs; Rimma Skrypnyk, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, International Relations and European Integration; Ivanna Sakhanda-Piddiacha, Head of the International Relations Office; Nataliia Bidenko, Deputy Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Dentistry; and Yuliia Kolenko, Head of the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry and Periodontology.

Representing the partner organization were Oresta Leshchuk, Chief Executive Officer of Ivoclar Vivadent Ukraine LLC, and Olha Horobets, Business Development Specialist.

Concluding the meeting, both parties expressed confidence that the signed agreement would serve as a solid foundation for a long-term strategic partnership, contribute to the development of the dental sector in Ukraine, and create new opportunities for academic mobility, professional growth, and international cooperation.
