Founded in 1816, Lviv Polytechnic National University is the oldest technical higher educational institution in Ukraine, uniting 17 academic institutes and 100+ departments—a powerful ecosystem for engineering, IT, architecture, economics, humanities, and more.

Starting from May, 2025, for the first time in its storied history, Lviv Polytechnic National University is led by a woman - Sc.D., Prof. Nataliya Shakhovska. Besides being a renowned scientist in Ukraine, she is also an accomplished university executive—embodies academic excellence and modern leadership. With dignity and resolve, she fulfills the responsibilities of the office while accelerating the University’s development and elevating its standing on the world stage.
