Entrance Exam Description

During the selection process we examine the competency of the applicant in two ways:
The faculty decides about the eligibility of the applicant by examining the documents of previous studies (degree, subject, results). This is followed by an entrance exams that evaluate the level of study-language and basic subjects depends on speciality.
The exams can be conducted online. In order to validate the entrant’s person, exams taken remotely are recorded on video, as is the person verification process. The recording is archived for at least five years on University’s grounds and the link to that recording is available in the united base of Ministry of Education of Ukraine.

Program Structure

Semester 1 - Core Educational Foundations
The first semester builds your foundation in teaching, learning psychology, and the core role of a higher education teacher.
- Pedagogy and Psychology of Higher Education – explores how people learn at the university level and what motivates learners. (Central to understanding teaching in higher education settings)
- Fundamentals of Pedagogical Skills – focuses on teacher-educator competencies and professional ethics.
- Methods of Teaching in Higher School – develops practical teaching techniques specifically for adult learners.

Semester 2 - Professional and Research Skills
In the second semester, you learn to use new teaching technologies, understand educational leadership, and begin your research activities.
- Modern Educational Technologies – examines digital tools and innovative methods used in modern classrooms and online education.
- Management in Education – introduces leadership concepts for managing academic programs and departments.
- Scientific Research Practice – prepares you for academic research and writing.

Semester 3 - Advanced Pedagogical Topics & Electives
This semester focuses on deeper pedagogical skills, including planning and evaluating learning, and learning how higher education systems work. (Note: elective options may vary by year and university standards.)
- Educational Assessment & Monitoring – how to measure learning outcomes and improve instruction.
- History and Development of Higher Education – comparative perspectives on universities in Ukraine and globally.
- Organization of Individual Student Work – supporting students’ independent and personalized learning.

Semester 4 - Final Research & Professional Practice
The final semester is dedicated to hands-on experience and completing your master’s thesis, which demonstrates your ability to conduct research and contribute new insights to education.
- Scientific-Pedagogical (Assistant) Practice – real practice in teaching or academic support.
- Master’s Thesis – independent research project on a topic in higher education pedagogy.
